A different and unique market of its kind in Barcelona.
The Barcelona flea market Els Encants Vells of Barcelona is one of the oldest in Europe, its origin is believed to be in the fourteenth century. It attracts a large influx of people, some 100,000 people a week who come to this “unique” market for recycling and sale of used items.
This market has been rebuilt a few years ago, it has an area of 15,000 square meters and hosts more than 500 merchants.

new and old objects, crafts, technology, decoration, fabrics, clothing and much more at unbeatable prices, it has to be said that for the tourists the main attraction of this market is its atmosphere, bit chaotic but authentic and is reminiscent of the old markets.
There are public auctions, it is one of its peculiarities and the greatest sign of identity of Mercat Els Encats Vells. It is public and the auction is held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.15 pm to about 9 h. It takes place in the central patio of the market.
